Since 1907, SKF has been a leading global supplier of bearings, seals, mechatronics, services, and lubrication systems, with operations in more than 130 countries worldwide. SKF has approximately 130 manufacturing sites across 32 countries, employing around 46,000 people and serving through over 15,000 authorized agents and distributors. In 2013, the SKF Group achieved sales of SEK 63.597 billion. Leveraging its e-commerce platform and global distribution network, SKF remains closely attuned to customer needs, delivering products and services that meet demand. SKF's business is primarily conducted through three business areas: Automotive, Strategic Industries within Industrial Market, and Regional Sales & Service within Industrial Market. SKF operates across approximately 40 industries, including automotive, wind energy, railway, machine tools, mining, metallurgy, healthcare, food and beverage, and paper industries. SKF's history in China is long-standing. In 1912, SKF began its operations in China through sales agents, and in 1916, established its first sales subsidiary in Shanghai. Today, SKF employs over 6,500 people in China, operates 18 production units, multiple sales companies and service units, and has over 300 distributor outlets, providing high-quality products and services to a wide range of customers. In 2010, SKF established its Global Technical Center (China) in Shanghai. In 2011, SKF was awarded the "Asia Influence" Enterprise Award at the 4th Asia Fortune Forum. SKF's headquarters in China is located in Shanghai, and in 2012, SKF celebrated its 100th anniversary of presence in China.
