Panasonic Corporation is a global electronics manufacturer engaged in the production and sales of various electrical products, including Panasonic servo motors. In 1978, Chinese national leaders visited Panasonic's television factory in Japan. During the talks, founder Konosuke Matsushita expressed his determination to contribute to China. Subsequently, Panasonic servo motors entered the initial stage of their business development in China. Over the following years, the company has been committed to product exports and technical cooperation with Chinese factories, establishing its first joint venture factory in 1987. To date, Panasonic Corporation's business activities in China encompass research and development, manufacturing, sales, services, logistics, and publicity. Panasonic Appliances (China) Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and became wholly owned in 2002, primarily responsible for the sales and after-sales service of home appliances, systems, environmental solutions, components, and medical equipment. As an investment holding company in China, Panasonic Appliances (China) Co., Ltd. also oversees and supports talent development, finance, legal affairs, environmental protection, and intellectual property management. In January 2012, Panasonic Appliances (China) Co., Ltd. merged with Panasonic Electric Works (China) Co., Ltd., further expanding the business scope of Panasonic servo motors.
